    If it is in fact as pictured, it's the older style.
    Would also check with KJ and make sure it would be covered under warranty. 
    If it's the older style it may or may not have the updated cooking grate system. Then not a good deal.

    The warranty would apply. Once it arrives one would just need to register it with KJ. KJ warranties are handled directly with KJ and not thru a dealer and KJ ships warranty parts directly to owner free of charge.

    That is the older model so yeah, it wouldn't have the new hinge, gasket, or top vent but there were quite a few people last year wanting to buy that old model cuz they didn't think the new features were worth the increase in price.

    Not a bad deal, I'm not sure I would pay an extra $500 for the newer model.

    My neighbor neighbor just tried to buy the older Joe from Ace @ $699. When he ordered they were out. He called Home Depot and asked if they’d price match. They said yes. He bought it. When he picked it up it was the new one. Helluva deal!

    Funny you say that. Had a guy with a KJ move in next door. We sold and moved within 30 days.

    That’s a good deal. I’d buy if I was in market for a large. It’s not the updated version, but neither is the large BGE.
