This is off topic but Im a fellow egger in desperate need of Plum Tomatoes for sauce. Sorry but I have exhausted all possibilities and im looking for Plum Tomatoes for sauce. My grower just informed me his crop is going to be 2-3 weeks late and I need to fill the gap Im looking for 100,000 - 200,000 lbs of plum tomatoes at a rate of 50,000 - 75,000 lbs a week. The plum tomatoes have to be red ripe ready to be squeezed for sauce and not sun bleached, field picked in bins normally 1,000 lbs per bin. We will clean and box them here In Long Island New York. Thanks for your help if you are or know a farmer who might have some you or they do not have to fill entire order I can buy from multiple people/farms as long as the distance between them is not crazy as I just would need to be able to fill a trailer as to keep freight cost down. Please PM or reply on here if you can help.
I thank you in advance and sorry to post on here just reaching at straws

We have some farms here in MD, but nothing like that volume. That's a LOT of tomatoes. 75K/week.  Just WOW.

With brisket the cow drives the finish. With sauce, it looks like the mater will do the same. Hope this all works out for you. Mother Nature May win this one....but kodos for your customer service approach.

Now that is truly a "go big or go home" requirement right there.  I wish you every success in your search.  Dang!

thanks it truly is a huge undertaking but is actually fun to do. You should see when we have the grapes and juice for home made wine that is a go big or go home production and last 10-12 weeks where as the tomatoes season only last 6 weeks max. All in we do about 10-14 trailers of tomatoes where we do 25 trailers of grape juice and 7 trailers of grapes

I thought North Jersey was the tomato capital of the world. Nearby too. No contacts there? Or does Campbell's own all the farmers?

Sorry I can't help, but I wish you luck!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Looking forward to pictures of this process.  The request was not what I expected when I opened the thread.  It is a legit commercial undertaking.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I have that in my back yard but you'll have to make your way to NOLA to get them.

Try these guys.  They are local to me haul produce coast to coast. Claim they can find what you are looking for.  I always got the impression they were a well run operation.

really lousy up here for tomatoes, my san marzano plum are usually 7 feet plus tall this time of year, they are spindly 3 footers right now.  my sweet 100's have not even turned out a red cherry tomato yet, maybe another couple weeks

Blight has been terrible in Indiana this year. Red Gold is a big producer here and has farms all over. You could always reach out to them
