Well, it's a deal. Not as good as the BOGO deal, but it is a deal.

Might not do this. I mean, since I have 2 more SRF Blacks arriving today.
    Dammit.
    Timing is everything, I suppose.

Might not be bad if you split it with a buddy. 20lb briskets will warm the ol’ credit card.  I prefer the Black over the Gold though. The Gold point is way too fatty for my taste.

I am looking at the culottes as the damage is a whole lot less painful.
Edit:  passed the looking stage and pulled the trigger.  Never have had that cut.

It’s a great tasting cut in Choice so I wonder how much better it is as Wagyu.  I have a hard time finding it here (and don’t need a 50 lb case from Restaurant Depot).  Unfortunately I’m still recovering from Prime Day spending so I’m looking forward to hearing how you like them.

I’d be in for one if there’s any other participants. :i_dunno:

Next deal on briskets being offered on SRF, I will hook up with you on that.
I just rec'd two 16ers black. I think Michael is right, the black is better, in my opinion than the gold. Too much fat in the point for me.

Black vs Gold SRF, I can appreciate the texture difference.  However,  for the $$ black every time except National Brisket Day when the sacrificial anode is gold on a one off cook.  FWIW-
