Sorry, but haven't noticed the R under Egg in 10 years. The XL and the S have it to. Explanation anyone?

The DudeThis is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.

My best guess would be that the “R” is for registered trademark.

I thought it would have been more exciting than a trademark. Didn't really think it though either. Oh well, happy egging!!

I always thought it was for those factory refurbished Eggs that they sell for half price.

That's where "BigGreenEgger" came from, bad translation from a legally-deaf immigrant from Sardinia.

This article popped up in my google cards this morning. I have a large and never noticed the R under the name. 5 years and counting with my BGE.

The thread name name had me thinking of an “R” stamp for pressure vessel repairs.

Btw, my egg has an “R” stamp too.

You have the common right handed model. They make left handed models too, but those are rare and have the letter L on the bottom left.
