Dolphins

My Buddy cut these on a plasma cnc and going to Hydro dip in American Flag.  Going to hang in my grilling spot when I get my new place in Texas.

    Well there is the Dolphinfish or Mahi Mahi or Dorado.

    Gonna be quite the talking piece when finished and hanging.  Outstanding.
    Submarines twice-
    Surface running with dolphins swimming along in the bow wave was always impressive.  If scheduling permitted, we always adjusted speed to keep 'em with us for as long as we could.  
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    Not quite the perspective one gets from the Bridge of a Fast Attack, but it was still pretty cool and we were several miles out from Point Loma so we were in the old neighborhood.  Is there any way to post a video clip?  I have some shots of them darting back & forth in front of the bow I’ll try to locate.

    Sometimes, this is how we fish the Mississippi delta marshes:

    1. look for circling birds
    2. go to birds
    3. catch fish
    4. dolphins come
    5. no more fish
    6. go to 1 and repeat

    Love dolphins, but not happy to see them when we're catching fish.

    Sea Lions are our biggest nemesis.  We use the Dolphins at times to help locate Yellowfin Tuna.

    This photo isn't nearly as good, but it's the best one we got of freshwater dolphins in the Amazon.

    No sea lions here.  I can't fish offshore for Tuna in my 18' bay boat.  I do have a 27' deep hull 2 x 200HP boat but it is not reliable to take out for Tuna.  Selling it, costs a fortune to run.

    Fortunately there are plenty of fish in the salt water marshes around here in the delta.

    ty, I got lucky. That was a great day! Fished the gulfstream off NC all my life and have never gotten them that close.
