If you have low self-esteem, this is not the way to elevate it.  Try something constructive, and please don't keep propagating BBQ myths.
Like creating multiple fake accounts on a bbq forum to harass people? You would know all about that wouldn’t you FlyOverCountry???
    You are so incredibly clueless.

Hate to tell you slick but multiple people have clued me in on your little troll accounts. I’m curious what type of grown freakin man creates multiple accounts on a bbq forum to harass people? Clearly someone whose winning life’s lottery. Sleep well. I’ve got a job to go to tomorrow.
Full disclosure here, I don't have any troll accounts.  I did get thrown off the forum once and borrowed someone's account (conway_twitty) until I got back on, but I'm not FlyOverCountry or any of these other troll accounts that you guys are thinking of.  I have another account but lost the email and pw years ago.  Big_green_nola.  That's it.  Anyone can say I'm this or that account, and I keep them confused, but I'm not those accounts.  I'm honored they think I'm all these trolls that I'm not.

Your modus operandi, based on your posts, is to quickly judge people you don't know, formulate opinions that, in my estimation, help elevate your sense of worth.  You denigrate people that behave exactly like you do, which tells me you don't think before you post, you don't formulate abstract relationships well, and you are angry at society and you apply a filter that takes little thought but results in a public regurgitation of your self-righteousness.  Boosting your self-worth by calling everyone you impulsively don't like or agree with idiots is pretty common behavior, and clearly has defined you.

It's astounding how hackneyed this online persona has become, and to see another of you makes me feel sadness in the general human condition.

Point-in-case: Your defense mechanism has you type: "Clearly someone whose winning life’s lottery. Sleep well. I’ve got a job to go to tomorrow."

You should really spend more time learning about people and listening.  Perhaps you're incapable of empathy.  I'm a kind person if you get to know me.  How well can you know someone on a forum like this?  Not that well.  So go out and meet people.  I've had people at my house from the forum who happened to be coming through town, I go to fests, throw my own.

Conversely I can be a weapons-grade world-destroyer. I will help people that you will formulate an instant negative stereotypical opinion about because of your internal filters.

I feel like I have won life's lottery.  Hope you win it too one day.

I have a job, congratulations on yours.  Been at mine for 27 years.

I feel like our relationship will be fun.   Your pal, nola.

We aren’t pals. I wouldn’t even be in the same room as someone like you if I could avoid it.  As I’m sure you wouldn’t me. Knowing how you are I’ll be sure to add you to the list of people to ignore on here in the future. It’s getting pretty long now. Do you find it at all ironic that the very thing you claim I do (judge people with out knowing them, being self righteous, all of the other tideous things you just wrote) you just did those exact things to me? In my job I get to know people every day. It makes me pretty good at gauging people quickly because it’s a requirement of my job. I have no reason to boost my self worth. Others opinions of me mean nothing. I don’t give a damn what you or anyone else thinks of me. I generally do think when I post something but not always. Newsflash, society sucks! Big time! I can’t even keep up because I felt like I read War and Peace when I read your post.

    Hey all,
I reached out to you guys a few weeks ago about where to buy a Blackstone while visiting the US. I took your advice and bought a 36" from bed Bath and Beyond. I ordered and had it shipped to the store in Sandusky.
I got it though customs and home yesterday. Tonight I opened the box to assemble the unit and found it to be so badly damaged that I can't even assemble it.
My question is... where do I go from here? Do I contact the seller which would leave me having to travel 7hrs (each way) for a replacement? Or contact the mothership, who hadsn't even got back to me yet (from 2 weeks ago) on where to buy one?
I was pretty stoked to use it this weekend... Looks like I'll be using a frying pan for quite some time.

What genius told you to buy that at bed bath and beyond? You won’t get any help from bed bath and beyond most likely. That’s a store for freaking bath towels and bed sheets. Why didn’t you get it from walmart or amazon? You wouldn’t have any issues getting a replacement from them. At this point try calling, not emailing blackstone and see what they can do. I dunno if they will do much since you bought it from a 3rd party. I’m not trying to be a jerk. It’s just that a blackstone is a huge outdoor griddle. Buying it at bed bath and beyond is like buying fresh meat off amazon. Sure they sell it, but do you really want to???? Good luck I hope you can get it worked out. Blackstones are a fun addition to the egg.

Please out the tellers of the troll accounts, we will tar and feather them!

Surprising accusations for a short timer. Maybe you are a troll account?
Hey here is a thought.Maybe don’t tar and feather “short timers” just because they haven’t gotten drunk with you at Butt Blast or whatever eggfest. Attitudes like that are why tons of people have left this place. Some people on here treat this website like it’s a freaking fraternity. The smart old timers on here don’t get caught up in the bull crap. Sometimes I wish I took their lead. So far in my “short tenure” I’ve been treated like crap by a lot of people. Why would you tar and feather someone for pointing out that several people on here like to harass people with fake accounts?
@TEXASBGE2018 - dood, you sure are a victim here.  OP posts request for help, then someone with a link to help, then you chime in about towels.  Now you're a victim of this tar and feather campaign.  Oh, man, I'm new and you guys are being mean to me!  O the humanity!

You accuse without proof.  You mock someone with a problem, and you're the poor victim of an unfair world.  TONS of people have left this place because they're, what, needlessly attacked?  Like what you did just now?

But if you go to Butt Blast or an Eggfest or "whatever" you get some cool kid card and don't get called out for being a prick?  Man, oh man.  Just read this thread and try to pretend you're the OP and this TEXASBGE2018 guy is someone on the forum you don't know.

I will assume that you will take me calling you out as being victimized even more.  And, as I recall, you have a history of jumping on anyone that acts like you just did, and I have noticed they are often much less deserving.

"I wonder why people treat me like crap?"   Because you are treated like you treat others.  That's a pro-tip on life.  Be nice or leave.

I’ll be sure to be nice like you in the future. Maybe then I will be loved by everyone and boost my clearly fragile ego. Then maybe I can be banned from a bbq forum multiple times also. I contacted the OP hours ago privately. You I and others have hijacked their thread for too long so how about you put your big boy pants on now and quit freakin focusing on me and let the OP get their question answered. I’m done with this mess.

I figure you're either a terrible person or you're just venting against your super-ego here.  Please tell me more about being banned multiple times?  I must have been too drunk to remember all but one incidence.

And why would you contact the OP privately?  You said you don't care about what other people think about you.

At risk of hijacking the hijacked thread, I’m in Canada as well and know how difficult it may be get cross border warranty service.  The good news is that it could likely be straightened out with a bit of work and it will still perform well with a few marks. Good luck.

For the record Bed, Bath, and Beyond is one of the BEST places to buy anything.  Save the original packing and receipt and they'll take it back NO QUESTIONS ASKED.  They won't even ask how many times you've showed your a$$ on an internet BBQ forum.

The OP is in a bit of a pickle, because he is seven hours away.  I've returned Dyson vacuum (sp?) cleaners, those annoying expandable hoses that are such a great idea but lack in the execution quite a lot.  Many other things as well.  I have NEVER returned towels though.

Thanks guys. I'm going to make some phone calls this morning. I know I could probably bash it somewhat back into place but I really hope it doesn't come to that. I paid for a new unit, ultimately that's what I would like to have. I guess we'll see...

I’d just like to know who these droves of people who’ve signed up for a forum account only to be scared away are.  Is one of them named Wes Johnson?

Well it doesn’t matter where you got it in the sense that they may sell it there but I don’t buy my groceries from a store that sells tires so why would you want to buy an outdoor griddle from a place that sells towels. The issue is that I dunno how willing and easy they will be to get this worked out. As you said they are 14hrs round trip from you. If it was amazon they would probably just have shipped you a new one and said have a nice day and let you keep the other one.
Costco, Walmart, Sams and Target all sell groceries and tires.  It makes ZERO difference where it's purchased.  The carrier should make this right.

time will tell if it DOES make a difference. The issue is still to young to tell, but Amazon would have already put another one on a truck..

Good point.  In Maine, arguments at midnight are usually with the next door neighbor who is in your back yard planting trees.

I would call Blackstone direct.  Obviously, I am in the USA, but when I called about an issue with our 17" BS, they fell all over themselves to help.  They even followed up with phone calls to make sure I was satisfied and if I needed anything.  I feel if you explained your situation, you might get some help from them.  Good luck!
