Restaurant Depot Pork Butts

I've read some of the old post about RD pork butts.
The consensus appeared to be that they were of acceptable quality.
I need maybe 8 pork butts for this coming weekend cook. They are currently $1.48/lb for the bone in.
Has anyone purchased butts from RD recently?

I've always had good results with RD's bone-in butts.

When I am doing catering for large groups I buy them at RD, problem is that sometimes they are out of bone-in and I have to buy boneless. For smaller cooks I buy them at the local military base, typically they are cheaper.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

butts are butts. unlike steak i haven't seen much variation. RD butts are fineRichmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

I'm going to give them a try this time. I usually get them from another restaurant supplier, but they are inconvenient to buy from. They sell them in cases with 8 butts per case. The boxes always seem to have at least 2 butts that are smaller than I like to cook. I prefer 8 to 9 pounds when I'm selling the butts whole.RD has the advantage of selling them out of the box where I can pick the weights that I like to cook.

Kind of like the others which have posted. RD here always has a great supply of bone in Butte. Never had an issue, or for that matter, a problem with the dozens I have done."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Sams and Costco both, if you buy by the case...fairly substantial discount per pound..
Last time I purchased from Sam's, I bought 5 (2) packs = 1 case and basically received (1) 2pack fo freeeeeeHave:
