He ... made his own knives for the place. It opens tonight. Pretty interesting interview here:

Just make sure your knife stays at the table and is accounted for by the waitstaff.

I think many people at Butt Blast can attest...
Just cause someone made something in their bckyard does not make it a good idea for the general public.

I apreciate a good steak knife paired with a good steak.
And hope APL does well with these new ventures. He doesn't Fock around.

I haven't tried a recipe of his yet that wasn't worth the effort. I wanna see one of said knives.

The article I linked to above has a pic of part of one of the knives. I've seen a video of APL talking about his knifemaking. I couldn't find the one I remember but this brief one from a few years ago talks a bit about his interest in making knives (but no pix of all the knives he made for his restaurant):GATraveller said:I haven't tried a recipe of his yet that wasn't worth the effort. If you want to see the knives or the forging process he has been documenting it on Instagram just search Adam Perry Lang, it actually goes through the entire process and his restaurant setup.

Not sure if anyone follows Jimmy Diresta, but he made the knife vault for APL.

It's odd, that's the only item that is really out of whack (except for the $950.01 knife). The rest is expensive, but about what you would expect.
I wonder what is so special about the short rib (maybe it's for 2 people?)

Agree that most of the other stuff isn't crazy, and yes, I expect the short rib is probably for 2 (or more). If you've seen him do his short rib (check out the series Ugly Delicious on Netflix), it is a 2-3 rib slab that he carves. Gorgeous. It's odd, that's the only item that is really out of whack (except for the $950.01 knife). The rest is expensive, but about what you would expect.

That's interesting. Thanks for posting. I've recently gotten into knife making and have been taking blacksmithing classes at a local forge (Goat & Hammer) - interestingly enough they just appeared on Forged in Fire and won!HeavyG said:
