Lol.  Saw this a long time ago. It’s somehow appropriate these days.

More illegal than an attack to the knee? Years ago I sparred a Tae Kwan Do student. I was a Kenpo student . When we sparred the only illegal target was the knees. We also didn't stop the attack or counter attack when a punch or kick scored, wee usually threw at least 4 punches or kicks before we broke off or reevaluated the situation. The Tae Kwon Do students were trained in point karate scoring, under a serious attack they would just turn their back in order to hide their "legal targets". The third time one of them did so I kicked him in the cup from behind. You fight the way that you train at the best.

When I took karate, there were no "legal targets." To say the inverse, all targets were legal, but only those that would result in a maiming or fatal injury got a full point. But we were also not allowed to spar till we could show that we could pull a punch or kick within 1" of striking. Eventually, most guys could just barely tap the skin at the target, but still have enough extension to have gone another 4". There were accidents, but if it was obvious someone landed a blow on purpose, they'd face sensei or an upper belt in the next round.

Looks like a better storyline than most sequels.

Well they’ve had 30 or so years to work on it, so...

Looks like it could be decent or pretty terrible.  I’m not sure which.

They had 30 years to redo CHiPs and we all know how that turned out.

So disappointed in that movie.  So much material to work with, and man did they blow it.

I thought it was a joke at first.  Looks like it'll be terribly decent.
