XL Woo Question

I’ve got a question on a Woo. I have an XL Egg with a plate setter and a 21 inch pizza stone.
I’m looking at getting a Woo, a 16 inch wok and a wok stand from CGS. CGS recommends a 17.5 inch ceramic stone to use with the Woo. Do I need the 17.5 inch stone since I already have a 21 inch ceramic stone? Seems like the plate setter would fill the same role as the 17.5 inch stone for indirect / low & slow cooks.
Alos, thinking about a Kick Ash Basket. Do those of you who have the KAB think it’s worth the $80?
Thanks everyone!

You don’t need the 17.5 stone and pass on the basket.

I like the KAB, a lot. Makes cleanup easier.

Not sure if the 21” would fit in the woo. The kickash basket though is worth every penny. Get the SS version as it will last longerXLBGE, MMBGE, CyberQ

Save your self the worry and call Tom at CGS. He will honestly answer your questions about the Woo, stone and plate setter.
I have the KAB for my XL and highly recommend it. Makes cleaning the ash so easy. Just lift it a few inches and shake the ash from existing lump. Lift completely out and scoop the ash from the bottom of Egg with a plastic junction box, another tip from Tom. Lower KAB in Egg and top off with fresh lump. Remove the nails first.lol

the 21" BGE stone is to big for the fire ring. If you think you'll get the xl adjustable rig someday, go with the 17.5" stone. 17.5 fits rig and woo. If not, then you can go with the 19" stone. the 19" fits the xl woo but not the xl rig. (2) 19" half stone option too.
@Photo Egg, I've upgraded conjuction box scoops....see link. these have a nice flange tab for a handle......lol. single gang box size available too.

I love my XL Woo, it rarely leaves my egg. I have a 19" stone and a 19" half stone. Call Tom, he'll help you put together a system that will work for the way you cook.
