We tonight I opened up a new bag of charcoal from Rockwood and noticed something wasn’t right.  First of all the bag didn’t seem to be the correct weight! Next all of the lump looked like it arrived in perfect condition? What the heck that never happens.

So so I decided to start off weighing the bag, and low and behold @stlcharcoal is a bold faced fibber.  He has the nerve to advertise a 20lb bag of charcoal and then not provide it.   That’s right folks @stlcharcoal sold me a 20lb bag of full carbonized easy to light charcoal that ended up weighing almost 25lbs.   The nerve of this guy!! I mean what the heck tell me it’s 20 lbs then over deliver.

Next we we decided to test out this fully carbonized charcoal on a few 2 inch thick steaks.   Well I was truly disappointed it was up to temp and to easy to light.   What the heck!!!!   I hardly had time to finish my beverage before the steaks had to go on!!!!

All kidding asiade @stlcharcoal makes a great product and is one hell of a nice guy.

Plated picture is money.  Jonathan has previously said he fills to approximately 22#.  Sounds like you got a bonus bag.

@bgebrent it was heavier than any other bag I gotten 24.6lbs. I was also happy with my local aces handling of the product, truly top notch handling.

The nerve of that guy!!' I was fat ,dumb and happy with my royal oak but since his mom and dad had visited Sarasota, I felt compelled to to try Rockwood several months back.i just did 2 Caribbean lobster tails on the MM (I love Costco) using Rockwood for the first time ....after probably 30 lobster cooks on other charcoal ....by far the BEST ever. This Stlcharcoal guy may be onto sumpin!  And I got 3 bags of rockwood I plan on weighing tomorrow !

Great cook and money shot right there.  Nailed it.
Great deal on the RW as well.  Gotta admit I have never had the urge to weigh a bag of lump charcoal or anything else that comes in good sized bags.

@lousubcap it was  heavier than I expected it to be when I grabbed it so I had to see what was up.

All kidding aside @stlcharcoal makes a good product and is a nice guy.   When I first go my egg, I had questions, he like many others on here graciously answered them.   But the difference is that he and @SGH will actually pickup the phone and chat with you.

I said our bags are 1/2 to 1.0# over, then the paper weighs about a pound.  So we're gonna need those extra 3# back!

I like to pick and cut up as much as anyone. There is no denying that. But on the flip side, I will always do my very best to help someone in need when and where I can.

Just yankin’ yer chain a bit. I’ve actually convinced more people to buy KJ’s than BGE’s. But don’t tell anyone.
