    Several years ago here in nearby East Peoria, IL at a very large, major distribution warehouse for the center of the US there was a heist on an early Sunday morning where nearly $1 million of cigarettes were stolen. The thorough analysis of the crime scene proved this was a professional job involving multiple stolen trailers which were later found emply of course all over the US. Even the tools used to cut through the roof and  high jack the "smart" technical equipment proved to be stolen from out East.


    This theft always fasinated me. About 15 years later the case was finally solved and yes it was "an organized crime" play carried out by multiple ex-cons with no inside crooks. Only a few of the still living peons fingered by a stool pigeon were tracked down though most all were already in prison or dead.
