looks like the nut loosened the paint when installing the handle
South of Columbus, Ohio. -
So I made it to my dealer today and showed him my picture of the handle w/o paint and asked it was a warranty issue and the response was no but if I brought it in to him he’d paint it for me....
when I got home I looked up the BGE warranty and sure enough the hardware is guaranteed for 5yrs BUT, not including any cosmetic issues..MMx, my not so large BGE

And contact corporate. I wouldnt eat that.

I wouldn’t call that a cosmetic issue. The coating failed and has head to rust development which will lead to failure.
