How cool is cherry smoke?!!?!?!

Did some cheese last night over some cherry pellets. I'd made a 'diffuser' with some aluminum foil on my CGS Spider. And when I flipped it over afterwards, this was the result... the photo doesn't do it justice, but it was really red and really pretty!

You should try it on something besides foil.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

If you want that deep red color on poultry then cherry wood brings it every time.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I smoke chicken breasts for my lunch every day for the week on Sundays. I traditionally used mesquite but I just tried Cherry. The flavor and the color is amazing!

It's why cherries are red.

If it wasn't for my BGE I'd have no use for my backyard... -
I use cherrywood frequently. Good flavor and color. Brisket with Oak and some cherrywood mixed in gives good results.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

super excited just picked up some cherry wood yesterday and was wondering what protein I would try first. I now know its chicken! This egg life is grand I have so many things I want to try and not a big enough stomach (albeit my stomach is quite big) to eat everything i want to make at once forcing me to spread it out. Oh BGE where were you 10 years ago, oh how fat (fatter really) and grand and gay (to clarify Happy not gay not that there is anything wrong with that) could I be right now.Long Island NY
