SUPERBOWL PARTY BABY!!!

greetings my friends,

seeing as the cowboys probably aren’t going to make the big game this year, and since I got an outside deep fryer for my birthday, I’ve decided to go Texas size food for family and friends and host a Superbowl party.

We have a large and medium BGE, a 36” blackstone, and the deep fryer (2 1/2 gallons)

the lgbe will be doing a few butts. I get that as a number one request.

The mbge BGE might be a dedicated abt machine

what else?

i might track that green shrimp recipe down I keep meaning to do....

go cowboys!!

Wings with your new fryer.  What is your crowd guesstimate??

Truffle Fries: (these are friggen delicious) Fry some fries, then toss them with some salt, garlic powder, truffle oil, chopped parsley and pecorino romano (or some other hard Italian cheese).  Serve immediately.

The restaurant where I work uses Super Bowl as a national holiday. Might as well make the most of it...

Wait. Super Bowl?! I thought they already had that and UCF won. Didn't they? They had a parade and all.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

minor nitpick... there are these things called commas and they look like this: ,

There is a BIG difference between "SUPERBOWL PARTY BABY" and "SUPERBOWL PARTY, BABY".  And I am quite certain you may not want the first - or maybe you do...

The absence of a comma doesn't change a slang baby into a literal baby through any obvious context change.

Example:  (note grandma is still grandma)

    Let's eat grandma!
    Let's eat, grandma!

Grandma's fate is less than optimal without the comma.

Also, couldn't the comma be after "superbowl"?

    "SUPERBOWL, PARTY BABY!"

    But really, who cares.

First, I am quite certain no one else really cares.  But a "SUPERBOWL PARTY BABY" will eventually need food, clothes, insurance and college tuition. The latter has already (hopefully) grown up and able to actually participate in the superbowl party.

  • Wings for sure, I’m still going back and forth between deep frying and egging the wings. Deep frying could free up the egg for other delicacies
  • I have to think pork belly burnt ends would be a big hit at something like this.

Deep fried pork belly is da bomb.  Also helps replenish your fryer oil.

Smoked buffalo chicken dip is my SB go to — it’s da bomb, everyone loves it. Spatch a chicken; shred it; put it in a skillet with Frank’s; add Neufchâtel; add cheddar; when it’s all oogey and melted, put it in an oven-safe dish, top with more cheddar and bake. Serve with Fritos for dipping.

More than one is great. I have a friend who doesn’t like football, but eats dips and leaves.
    It's a 302 thing . . .
