Where do you put your Mini Max?

So I’ve searched the forum and can’t find setups for the Mini Max. Where does everyone put there Mini Max at home? Just sit on your existing table? Got a new table? I have a LBGE with its table and not sure where I want to put the max.

I put it wherever it's needed....in the sand at the beach, on a stump in the mountains, on a table at a friend's, somewhere on this forum. There's a pict of mine at a house in Mexico on the beach in the outdoor kitchen where the old Parilla was removed
At home it sits in the corner and I set it stop a SS table when it gets fired up -
I have a stainless meat cutting table that holds my large. MiniMax sits beside it on the top.

I run Kamado Joes ... but my Jr just runs topside on a stone ... perfect height there -
Mine lives on a metal waist height table that I re-purposed. Plate setter, pizza stone and coal bin are underneath. Or the tail gate of my truck.

No shame there. Nice set upchrisdiaz73 said:

@chrisdiaz73 - If you haven’t seen pics or heard horror stories of fires from kamados sitting on pavers on wood tables you should look into it. For BGEs an air gap using a table nest or paver with ceramic feet is the recommended set up.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, M&M BBQ Texas Smoke King, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal

Good question. I have this table en route for my new MiniMax. Not sure yet how it will work.

Have that table for my MM and it has worked out well. I did cut the legs down a few inches as the stock height had the grate a bit high for my liking.danguba78 said:Good question. I have this table en route for my new MiniMax. Not sure yet how it will work.

If nothing more, at least put a couple ceramic floor tiles under those things to get an air gap. You're going to light those tables on fire. Those stones underneath are nothing more than heat syncs. You're paying to heat them and conduct heat to the table and air. They're not protecting anything.

If you just keep it in the carrier, that should be enough air to eliminate any concern, right?stlcharcoal said:If nothing more, at least put a couple ceramic floor tiles under those things to get an air gap. Yes, then still set it on a stone, or big floor tile. Something to reflect the heat away. If you get a bunch of dust, grease, etc down on the wood with no wind, that 1.5 inch air gap may still not be enough to drop the temp before you hit the kindling temp. Poof, spontanueous combustion. It's real. Better safe than sorry.thetrim said:
