Help me RUB my Turkey!

I’ve waited too long and can’t find any Mad Max rub for my turkey local. I saw Meat Churches post on Facebook about using Honey Hog. I can get that but it will require a 30 min drive one way. Is it worth it? What else have you been successful with that would be easy to come up with? I volunteered last min to do the turkey for thanksgiving and am struggling to figure out what to do.

I used meat church's Deez Nuts and it was perfect for me. Honey Hog is another great choice.

I've never found rub to make much of a difference on whole poultry except for the skin. So to me, it depends on if and how you eat or serve the skin.
I think a simple salt, pepper, chile powder, garlic would be fine. -
I'm taking away, "rub Deez Nuts".... Why not?

I just make a garlic rosemary thyme compound butter for under the skin and salt and pepper the outside. Don’t over think it. Over cooking will be worse than not having some fancy rub.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I used your thread title as a pickup line once. It didn't yield the intended result.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I tend to overthink things sometimes. I think I’m just going to just make a rosemary garlic butter and rub it down then smoke with a little cherry wood.Jeff from Winston-Salem, NC - LBGE, MiniMax, Blackstone

Surprised you've had this many responses, which I'm sure are all great, but Mickey's coffee rub should be on everyone's short list for poultry.Stillwater, MN

I ended up finding some Meat Church Gospel in the cabinet and used that. I plan on basting it with butter a little later.Jeff from Winston-Salem, NC - LBGE, MiniMax, Blackstone
