Havent done these on the egg and figured a football Sunday was the perfect excuse. Braised the brats on Sam Adams Oktoberfest with onion, garlic and Everglades all purpose seasoning. Then browned on the grill. A simple yet delicious meal for football.

Thank you. TBH, my first time doing them on the egg I wasn't sure bath or grill first, most of the recipes I had read said to bath first, so that's the route I went. I love a good snap when biting into my sausage (ouch), but these turned out tender on the inside with those char marks we all know and love. I may experiment next time to see if there's a big difference.StillH2OEgger said:I normally go straight on the grill with brats, but damn that looks fantastic! Nice work. -
Yes sir!

Looking delicious!Living the good life smoking and joking -
I've found that grilling hot and quick first, then sending them to finish in a liquid produces the results i prefer, nice snap and juicy all the way through. I pull just before 160 internal. 158ishCigarCityEgger said:

My go-to liquid usually consists of onion, kraut, 12 oz beer and about 1/4 to 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar. I like to throw small potatoes in too to finish out the meal.Pratt, KS

Nice job and the Sams Adams Oktoberfest is one of the best! For those that may think you shouldn't use up one of those in the bath, I say, that's why you have 12 in a pack! Great job!=======================================
