Does anyone know if wood from the Florida "Black Olive" Tree (Bucida buceras) is suitable for smoking wood in the Egg? There are tons of broken Black Olive branches in my neighborhood as a result of hurricane Irma. I was wondering if it could be used for smoking wood.

This "Black Olive" tree is not your typical Olive tree. And it does not bear any edible fruit. It just stains whatever the leaves and seedpods fall on an ugly brown.
