Got beat out to a brisket and burnt ends! Not gonna lie he made a tasty meal. I'm ok with 2nd and will take first next go around.
-
Nice, any details like rub, inject, etc.
-
First place used what for his cooker?
-
I inject with 1 whole bottle of the sauce below and let it rest in a vacuumed sealed bag overnight. I rub it with Adams Ultimate Rub and let it rest for another hr or so (not in the fridge) until the meat loses its chill and the Egg is at 225. This time I used a mix of Apple and Cherry wood which was unreal in flavor. Cook it low and slow until 185ish, wrap in foil to cheat it and finish it at 202. Always comes out perfect for me.

Sounds like a fun time!“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

I'm a big fan of Jim's. I mix the hot and regular 50/50. The hot is HOT. Jim's used to be Big Jim's.
