I'm cooking three 8# butts for my granddaughters Bday next Saturday .... I think it's going to be a turbo cook to make it work. Any advice on the start times for a 2PM sit down??

I think you'd be better off doing an overnighter and letting those butts rest (FTC) for 3-4hrs. Less stress that way.

I'm on the fence. I do half-azz turbo method on my butts. 275*-300 and I can turn one in 6-9 hours. Doesn't matter if you're doing one or 3. They are separate masses. I'm all for holding FTC like @DoubleEgger suggested~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

I would put them on before I went bed AFTER letting the Egg stabilize for at least an hour and bump the temp higher in the morning after they shrink up a little. Like others said, they will hold in HD foil for hours.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas
