Nice cook!
We love direct cook chicken and I usually spatch-**** to cook a little faster than normal. Don't tell because some will ridicule me... but when I direct cook, I throw in a dozen Kingsford original briquets over my lump because we like the flavor of smoke from the drippings hitting those things which for us creates an awesome taste in the bird and/or burgers, etc.
