Seldom in the last few years, has the opportunity presented itself to reassure me, how fortunate I am to be a very insignificant part of this forum.
As an old guy, with less in front of him, than behind him, you appreciate good folk.
I find it extremely difficult to rationalize to myself, and tremendously more strenuous to try and relate my experience with others, that have no clue what this forum and the people of this forum, is all about.
When I bought my first big green ceramic money pit, a few years ago, I had no idea where to even put the lump. All of you were so kind to me. You helped me through. Gave me all kinds of heck, in a good natured way, (at least I think so) and your work has taught me to do pretty ok with these eggs of mine.
I can never thank you all enough.
You are my family. You really are.
I appreciate it more than you know.
Coming from humble beginnings in life, you appreciate such acts of kindness. You have no idea.
You all are the best. The best ever.
When I first scraped up the courage to make my first post, introduction and a question, one of the first to respond was @doublegger, with a no BS, straight and direct, factual answer.
Thank you Michael. I HAVE PUT LUMP IN THE RIGHT PLACE from that point on.
Today, his kindness floated to the top again, offering to procure and send some rub, I had asked about.
As I have mentioned about each and everyone of you, when I speak of my family on this forum, Michael, my brother, is one of the best folks you will ever meet, and have the pleasure, I so unjustly deserve, when you call him a friend.
He sent me a care package today.
All I have to say, is GAME ON DUDE!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

@YukonRon Brother you are one of the folks here I'd like to meet in real life. I think you're a sage - check out my signature line.

Michael's a good dude. His wife is awesome too. They spent a whole Sunday morning tolerating me and my youngest at a car show. Above and beyond with the patience for his ramblings on all things auto.

I think you have to put Michael near the top in a couple of categories. He is a very generous, and helpful individual. When you are up, he will kick your ass back down. When you are down....well he will keep you down.....and how in the hell did he land that beautiful wife of his? Just bustin on ya Michael....I agree halfheartedly with Ron. =)

Great job, YukonRon, of expressing what myself and I'm sure countless others have also experienced while participating here. Having said there, there are certain posters whose comments are held in even higher regard and you definitely have a spot in that lineup. The bourbon slushy should have it's own wing in the BGE hall of fame!

You have to draw the line somewhere, but that line should definitely fall behind Scottie's anus!

J, between you and me...where the hell else would  you put it? Some things are intuitive right?

Seriously though....my first recollect of Ron was following his trip notes across the France country side. I almost felt like i was there.

It's called karma @YukonRon .  You're one of the nicest, most welcoming and accommodating people on this forum and you reap what you sow!
Can't wait to hangout with all of you again soon.

I'm still a NOOB here, but from the start I knew this place was different.  I had heard of the BGE and wondered what all the hoopla was about and now I see it's a whole sub-culture of it's own.  I even suckered... I mean encouraged a friend to buy one these bank account draining green monsters and he too has become possessed by the power of the egg.

Like you said..."As an old guy, with less in front of him, than behind him, you appreciate good folk".  I always say I have more yesterdays than tomorrows and as I age I really value and appreciate the little things in life and this forum and the people that make it what it is have become a sacred sanctuary for me. Thank you and all the others that have helped even if not directly, but through the thousands of post which share knowledge I can draw upon anytime I'm in need.

I too feel lucky to have all you Eggheads as friends as well. Kit and I met most of you at Butt Blast We have had good meals and laughs with you all since then. Kit was a little apprehensive about going to an event called Butt Blast but as it turned out she can't wait until next year and she is now on board for Brisket Camp. Tonight we are having dinner with @DoubleEgger and his lovely wife. We have been looking forward to it all week. I am with you @YukonRon we can wait to get together with you and Suz as well.
