New Knife Handles

A while back, kitchen knives were being discussed and @bigbadben posted that he was into making Wa handles for Japanese knives. I have one that had a right-biased D-shaped handle, similar to Shun, where the ferrule was coming loose and I wanted a true Wa octagonal handle since I'm left handed. He sent me pics and I went with 2, 1 for my Goko and 1 for my Takayuki. These are very well made and I am definitely going to enjoy them.

Check out my Etsy store for current inventory ready for sale bensbites. You can find me on Instagram @bensbites or @Ben_makes. Instagram will have items listed before they hit the Etsy store, sometimes items are snatched up before they get that far. Something that I have made and it sitting on the shelf, $80-100. If I have to special order woods, I add my additional costs on top of that.
You can also check out the bensbites subforum on chefknivestogoforums.com. One more note, chefknivestogo buys my handles wholesale and mounts them on blades or will sell them to you.
Thanks for your interest.

He asked what I had available at the time of purchase. I sent some photos over, and everyone was happy. For custom projects I have worked with people to find wood they like. There are a wide range of colors and grain patterns to choose from...gdenby said:
