The wife and I went to the Ga Mountain Eggfest, and she loved the butt nuggets. Unfortunately, the recipe isn't in the collection. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks.

Can't tell if this is a legitimate question, or simply a troll. Any post about "butt nuggets" starting with "the wife and I...." is extremely suspect in my books.

I am guessing they might have been pork burnt ends. There are a few post here on the forum- this is the first that came up and has some good pics to see if it is what you are looking for:

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

No it was a serious question. I didn't care for them but Karen (who gave me the BGE for Christmas) loved them and I was trying to make them for her. I didn't think it would be a thing, since the woman who served them was shouting "butt nuggets, butt nuggets" when she put them out. I thought they were a common BGE  item like ABTs.

Sorry for provoking the immature...  :-(

    Morning Wpilon:

"Butt Nuggets" are not pork burnt ends...the name was just something thought up when we started serving them.

What happened was that Egret (John Hall) had four pork butts that didn't get prepared for the Meet & Greet the night before then brought to the North Georgia Eggers on Saturday morning...since there obviously wasn't time to do pulled pork (even turbo method)...Gene Skillin de-boned the butts then cut into pork steaks...these were then rubbed & cooked hot/fast then cut into bite size pieces...one of the group (maybe Ginny) called them "butt nuggets" so that was how the name came about (It was better than the name suggested by someone who will remain anonymous..."Ass Bites").

    Have a GREAT day!
