You'll cook great food and have great times! Welcome :-)“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

I would say that that design is fire proof. Maybe a slight design modification? Stagger the cement blocks, insert steel rebar in the holes and then fill them with sand or sackrete? Just the engineer in me coming out to play.

I really dig your setup my friend. One could really use it like this or dress it up to match any backyard.

Welcome, you're going to love your egg. I'm new to the party as well, but the biggest thing I've learned is that this forum is a great source of BGE information, and well other topics too.

I have a medium BGE. Have had it for two years now. Been wanting a table, but didn't want to nest it since I have a cover for it and wanted to be able to move it easily. My friend designed this table. We built it with P treated pine using glue and lag bolts. His son in law owns a granite countertop company so I was able to get a great deal on the top. It turned out great. I can also use it for a paella burner that I have. It fits in nicely.

Thanks for all the kind words. And I am located in Frederick, MD tarheelmatt. The block setup is supposed to be temporary (put together the night before the egg arrived) until I build a table with wheels. Too often temporary turns into permanent! I guess either way it will serve me well. I am loving the BGE!Lovin' the BGE life in Frederick, MD!
