Gonna be a good day, tater! Congrats again on the graduation. I still have nightmares of accounting spreadsheets being due and wake up with night sweats.

What's the degree in? Most of us around here have advanced degrees in bullshittery. Congrats.

Congrats on graduating! I will say one thing about that knife, I have one and it dulls quick but I'm sure you have a good sharpener.Franklin, Tn

@TN_Sister_State I actually don't. I really need one. Any recommendations for a good sharpener?

I don't have any. May want to google the angle that blade was originally sharpened at and buy one to match. There are plenty of knife experts on here and I'm not one unfortunately. Just letting you know my personal experience with that particular knife.Franklin, Tn

Glad you like Amazon. Before long, Amazon and Walmart will be the only places left to shop.
According to ATK, your knife holds an edge quite well. I don't know as I don't have one myself. The vid is a test of carbon steel knives. Then, they tested their favorite cs against their favorite stainless, the Victorinox. The comparison starts at 3:30...

Sounds like you have a nice knife.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

@Carolina Q my issue was probably due to my poor maintenance. I learned from that experience at least.

Congrats on the graduation! Check out ChefSteps.com - they sell a sous vide unit called Joule, hence they have lots of recipes.
Once you pre-sear a steak or chop in CI pan, sous vide and then sear again for color before serving, your egg will not see much work for steaks or chops.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"
