One advantage to the medium egg is its lighter and easier to transport. Took the family camping with friends over the weekend and did bring the medium egg with me. I was able to cook 20 lbs of Pork Shoulder (2 10lb shoulders). Cook lasted 21 hours exactly. Only downfall was I had no leftovers to bring home!! :-(
