Anyone Tried El Pollo Rico in Arlington?
reload
Posts: 267
We will taking a family vacation to Washington and then on up to NY next month. Several years ago I ate at El Pollo Rico in Arlington. They serve rotisserie chicken that is second to none! I plan on stopping in next month and having lunch with my family. Does anyone out there have any idea what they put on the chicken before it goes on the rotisserie? I would love to try it on the egg?

No but it is a chain and I've had it in Austin. Fantastic pollo asada al carbon. Here was my attempt to duplicate: http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1190023/pollo-asado-al-carbon

I've tried just about every pollo place in the DC area, and El Pollo Rico is the king. Looks pretty rundown, but churns out the best pollo in the area, all charcoal rotisserie roasted. And amazing hot/sweet sauce to go with it. Truly one of the great restaurant bargains to be had, and it's always on.
Excited also to see this recipe, which I'll have to try. Been toying with the idea of a Joetisserie and maybe this is the excuse I needed. -
