If it were me, I'd just go with a fridge. Way less hassle.Stillwater, MN

I have one but rarely use it. It seemed like a good idea at the time...
XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

I have a metal one on legs and casters with a flip top that I bought at HD a couple of years ago. It's ok. I use it, it works, it holds ice and drinks for a day, but not really two in the summer heat. Kind of an occasional use thing for a party that sits on the deck year round. A real cooler is better IMO.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

You want this:

Drink the Kool Aid and get a YETI. Don't matter how ugly it looks just sitting on the deck. Its a YETI!

I don't think you're a acumbag if you buy one of the RTIC's that isn't a direct Yeti copy. But I could be mistaken.Biggreenpharmacist said:

Yes it does. And it's a shame that's the last post I made before I went airborne for a 1.5 hour flight so I didn't get a chance to correct it...Acn said:

It it works well enough.Huntsville, Al LBGE -
I use a cooler a couple of times a year. I can buy a lot of ice for the cost of a Yeti. Nobody steals a cheap Igloo cooler.....in fact I have had people feel sorry for me and give ice to fill it up, guess they figure if the poor guy doesn't have an expensive cooler he must be down on his luck.

Have two friends that have outdoor/portable swamp coolers that work surprisingly well on their patios as long as the humidity isn't out of control.DMW said:

Homemade with an ice chest and fan. Or commercially with a portable Swamp Cooler/Evaporative Cooler or Spot Cooler.DMW said:

In the desert we use swamp coolers. They work great to cool off your patio.DMW said:

Edit @Legume beat me to it. He is right, they work great in low humidity.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.
