Someone posted about Rick Bayless grilling octopus. Here's my recent effort. Cooked for 15 minutes in a pressure cooker, marinated for several hours and then grilled. Wonderful.

This looks awesome.
I have done octopus only only a few times and it was always marginal.
What did you marinade in?"Brought to you by bourbon, bacon, and a series of questionable life decisions."

This is one I've been wanting to try, but I have no idea of how to clean it. Did you start with a whole one and clean yourself, and if so, how did you do it?

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

It was marinated in EVOO, lemon juice, rosemary and plenty of garlic. I cooked it whole and cut off the tentacles to marinate. I think it was the pressure cooker. I tried boiling once and it was tough.*******Owner of a large and a beloved mini in Philadelphia

Wow different but looks fantastic! Would not have thought to do octopus, but obviously I should

Massage in in milk for 10 min before you grill, just enough in a steel bowl to make a small pool (not cover it). Think squeezing silly putty for pressure.jlsm said:It was marinated in EVOO, lemon juice, rosemary and plenty of garlic. I cooked it whole and cut off the tentacles to marinate. Old trick from my Greek grandfather. Either way, yours looks great! -
Agreed. Way to optimize the mini. That looks like an awesome meal.sheetmetalpete said:+1 for the Mini love.
