Hmm - not sure about this. I have the Last Waltz DVD by Scorcese, and it is truly a classic. Wonder how this knock-off will hold up.Winnipeg, Canada

Robbie Robertson, thereafter, went forward to do much charitable and selfless work, championing several causes. He would mention that event as the cause that had its most piercing effect on his life and the decisions for his work in support of issues needing support.
I was a very young teenager, the Hyden disaster was not to far from where I was rasied. I was in Lexington that night, at Memorial Coliseum. They left all the windows open so those outside could hear them and hopefully, donate whatever they could; Food, clothes, money, anything. I had learned later from someone that worked at Memorial, The Band donated cash and also the proceedings from the sold out concert, along with the people outside, gave up over $70,000.00. After thanking everyone for their contributions, they drove all night, after that show, to their next stop on the tour. I arrived much too late to get in, and I was amongst those in the crowd outside next to the windows. I stayed and watched them leave, while the roadies packed the trucks.
The Band will always hold a special place within me. They helped people I knew, personally."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

They were on tour, and stopped in to play, unscheduled, and every dime of that performance went to those who had their Fathers, sons and husbands taken away in the coal mine.
