As above, nice add. And as you note, not your first BGE rodeo-continue to enjoy the journey as that is the best part of the adventure.
BTW- great groceries right there.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

Not many prettier sites than a brand new egg.

Thanks everyone! Pretty much my favorite hobby! Only 30 years old and find myself thinking about grilling just about all day long. Always a blast firing up an egg and producing killer eats!
-
By the way.... the steaks were seasoned with meat church holy cow and southern links BBQ steak and brisket seasoning! Very good stuff! Not overly salty and produces a damn good bite!
-
Congrats. You're going to love it. And I agree, nice view!

Nice cook and congrats on the new egg! I can relate to the thinking about grilling all day :-)“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

For the folks with the mini max do most of you prefer the woo with a stone for going direct or a plate setter? Most of the time I believe I will just be grilling on the mini max so I think a raised direct set up would benefit plus the addition of a stone when small indirect cooks arise. I have a ps woo and raised grid for the large that I use almost every cook. So I'm leaning towards a woo set up

I haven't gotten the woo yet. Cause I'm lazy....Go Gamecocks!!!

I'd go Woo. I have a plate setter and on the mini max its about useless. YRMV. Congrats on the new egg.

Thanks guys! Normally I prefer a reverse seat on a thick filet but didn't have the time. Just flipped often and hit the edges too. Came out great!

@YukonRon when we bought the large a year ago we both kinda knew we would be in the market for a smaller Kamado in the future and something we could take places with us. i kinda threw the idea of maybe even purchasing a competitor grill but she quickly reminded me why we went green in the first place! Love that woman!
