Do any of you Eggers our there have a preference or experience with using the DigiQ vs the CyberQ temperature controllers? Any thoughts or recommendations? Thank you all in advance.

do you want to monitor it remotely or not?Large BGEBBQ Guru DigiQ IIMartensville, Saskatchewan Canada

I know you only asked about the Guru products, but you should seriously include the Flameboss units in your analysis.
I have the DigiQ controller and haven't used it for almost two years ... ever since I purchased a Flameboss 200. I really like the wifi units ... I can start the egg and return to the kitchen to prep the protein while I monitor the temp on the computer.
No matter what you decide, give @stlcharcoal a jingle to check on prices ... maybe even pick his brain on the various units.
BTW ... if you decide the DigiQ is what you want and used is okay, drop me a line.

Thank you so much for the helpful info. I will definitely check out the flame boss equipment. I will reach out to your contact as well. Thank you again!Jeepster47 said:I know you only asked about the Guru products, but you should seriously include the Flameboss units in your analysis.

I don't understand why anyone wants to monitor or control egg cooks remotely via wifi. I just don't. IMO, you shouldn't leave home while operating a charcoal grill anyway. It's not safe. So remote is not needed.
Turbo cooking (higher than normal temp cooking) means that lo n slo cooks that are normally done overnight are no longer necessary. Therefore, a temp controller isn't needed either, wifi or otherwise. I threw a 9 lb butt on a couple of days ago at about 10:30 AM, 325° dome temp. I walked outside to check occasionally - it held temp perfectly and finished by 5:30 PM. I have a DigiQ, but didn't use it. May never again. Lotsa guys still cook overnight lo n slo with no controller at all. I've done it, though it's been years.
If you have the cash and like your toys, knock yourself out.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I agree 100% that I would never leave home with the grill fired up. That is a great point. Thank you for your insight.Carolina Q said:I don't understand why anyone wants to monitor or control egg cooks remotely via wifi. I just don't. I have both. Upgraded from the Digiq. When it is 10 degrees out I appreciate not having to go outside to check the temp.WAHOO_EGGER_CVILLE said:Do any of you Eggers our there have a preference or experience with using the DigiQ vs the CyberQ temperature controllers? Gave away my DigiQ and sold my CyberQ. I found them to be not-needed.
