    I landed a bit more of the lump for cooks today, and found alot of nylon shreds in the mix. I think that might be the smell. I pulled a dozen small and thin pieces out.
    Further, the KJ sparked like crazy, not like Rockwood. Piece size, superior to RW, smoke as well. Lot of trash in the KJ bag.

    Sorry - I didn't state my question clearly. The points on Costco Prime briskets were smaller in proportion to the flats, when compared to choice briskets at Costco or other stores. Prime briskets at HEB had bigger points than Costco ones. Almost looked like the Costco Prime briskets had been cut differently.

    It's been a while since I bought a brisket from Costco, so maybe I will go back and see if that's still the case.
