.... on the Egg.  This thing is amazingly easy to cook on and seems to give great results even if I'm a bit cack handed with the temperature control / timing.  Did home made pork burgers for the kids' tea and then spicy chicken on skewers for us later. Mmmmmmm.

Pork burgers - that is something I have not had in a long time, but loved them when we made them.   Wow....  I think it was 8-10 years ago now that I really think about it.  Thanks for the reminder!!

I agree, everything is better on the Egg,  now I just need to find more non-meat recipes, I'm eating way too much meat.

The burgers got eaten too fast. Pork mince, fried onions, breadcrumbs and an egg to bind. Miixed some fried chilli into some of the burgers. Put on a tray indirect to cook through and then grilled direct to finish. They were very good.

Do you not have tea time in the US? Early evening meal. In correct English you have lunch at mid day and dinner in the evening. In the North you have dinner at mid day and tea in the evening.

I don't remember if it was Hobbits or you folks in the UK that had this schedule:

    • 7:00am – Breakfast.
    • 9:00am – Second Breakfast.
    • 11:00am – Elevenses.
    • 1:00pm – Luncheon.
    • 4:00pm – Afternoon Tea.
    • 6:00pm – Dinner.
    • 8:00pm – Supper.

Tee time I understand.  Saturday and Sunday AM time when you sneak away from our family to drink beer whilst driving around in a battery powered buy and flailing away at a small white ball while practicing cuss words.

Tea time, not so much and I can't understand why anyone would drink that god forsaken gray dishwater tasting swill?

Unless Tea is just code for booze?

Don't do tee time, too time consuming and not interesting enough.

Tea as a meal doesn't have to involve tea as a drink, but tea as a drink is one of the best drinks in the world and certainly isn't dishwater grey when we make it. Tea is an art, you have to make it properly and with actual boiling (100 C / 212 F) water not off the boil. In most countries, people try and make tea with merely hot water and it invariably tastes awful. Look for Twinings strong breakfast tea if you can find it.

After 6 in the evening we switch to booze!

Bobby Flay? We don't have him over here. Looking at his form, I'm surprised you haven't sent him over in retaliation for us dumping Gordon Ramsey on you.

Supper is a late evening snack, so whichever your definition of dinner, there's a big food free gap in the day somewhere.
