Been at work since 7 am yesterday morning...
Got my old cat here with me... He's enjoying what is left of his Christmas too

Getting ready to pick up sick dog from vet hospital 72 hours in hospital plus pre-work at her regular vet = $3,000. Auto immune disorder attacked her platelets. Primary care vet could find no platelets in her blood (zero). She was at risk of spontaneously bleeding out.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

@gmac- my advice to you, "Start drinking heavily."
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

@DMW - I hate to ride on the above post, but that is great news and I'm sure brings a tremendous amount of relief. Using up prime rib and burgundy mushroom leftovers from Christmas. Diced up the steak and shrooms, reheated and served over cheese grits with leftover gravy. Steak and burgundy mushroom version of shrimp and grits. Good stuff.

Randy (truck wrecker of brisket camp II and cooker of large batches of gumbo person) is in town, came by and joined us for dinner. Blackened stripped bass, sushi we made yesterday, hash browns, sweet potatoes.

Even if he's a truck wrecker, his big batches of gumbo are good. Treat him well.nolaegghead said:Randy (truck wrecker of brisket camp II and cooker of large batches of gumbo person) is in town, came by and joined us for dinner. Trimmed and rubbed a choice brisket. It was 12.45lbs pre-trim. No idea how much I trimmed off, but quite a bit.

No particular reason to cook a brisket, aside from it's been awhile and I want to. My neighbors are going to come help us eat tomorrow night. The Stoker will keep an eye on things tomorrow when I go pick my dad up from the hospital and take him home.They/Them
