Reverse sear with filets?

Ok, I have never heard of a reverse sear until I got an egg. After doing some research, I see a lot of reverse searing done with whole ribs or tenderloins. My question is, can it be done with filet? Im real good searing steaks and purring them in the oven after...just never done it backwards. How many of you reverse sear with smaller cuts?

Yes sir. I love it. Set egg indirect, or do the two temp set up for XL or XXL. Let the filets get up to 115-120 or where you eat them. Then pull foil and get the egg ripping and give a big sear. If your feeling like a real man just throw them on the coals for a few seconds each side._______________________________________________XLBGE

Just did some reverse sear filets. Turned out great. I do the sear on a small cast iron grid that sits on my spider down close to the coals.
