We have just bought our first EGG here in the UK, XL size, and we are now waiting to get it delivered. We don't really BBQ much in the typical British style (i.e. burning meat over a grill) but are really interested in the slow cooking and smoking type of BBQ and thought that and EGG would be a good place to get started.

Welcome aboard. Feel free to ask lots of questions. But recognize that sometimes the questions have been asked before and you may get better answers with a search of previous threads - as any thread depends on whose eye it catches and who has time to respond.

Welcome aboard from the other side of the pond. Way to go against the tide and jump into the deep end of the pool. Ask all the questions you want, many will offer replies and most will offer a different take. All of which will work.
Above all, have fun.
