I know a guy that did that several years ago but I have no clue how it turned out.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Have never seen that technique, but whenever I see Matchlight I run the other way.  I bought one bag shortly after it first hit the market (early mid 80's?) and used it once-the hangover taste of the charcoal lighter was evident for the cook duration.  Tossed the rest and have never looked back.  FWIW-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
  • A home made Lodge Camp DO on steroids! Wonder how the grass affects the cook, seeing as it appears to be covered with foil? Thanks for sharing.

  • Matchlight.  Yeah, right.  Run.  Fast.  Turkey kooks nowhere near nice golden brown skin.  Too many internet 'chefs' think theirs is best.

seems like a knockoff Orion convection cooker. Theyre pretty nice and cook food pretty quick.

I'm thinking that "yard" bird would be incredible on Colorado's finest "sod" Sour D and Girl Scout Cookies.  :get_outta_here:
