Snake River Farms (SRF) Ham on BGE

Hello all,

Anyone tried a SRF ham on the BGE using Egret's ham recipe?  What about using the recommended SRF peach-pomegranate glaze recipe?

I've double-smoked (Egret's recipe) "grocery store bought" hams in the past and they were awesome.  I want to step my game up to the next level for my family's Thanksgiving gathering.

Any other tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

Double smoking my last SRF ham was way too smoky. I probably wouldn't add any wood. That's just me though

I have done the ham using the peach-pomegranite recipe and it was excellent. I changed it up a little just because of items I had on hand. I am sure egret's recipe would also be great.  I used peach wood for smoking.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I have had luck using peach preserves and peach smoke with all things pork. My ham, was great, for me the smoke was perfect. Great ham and swiss on rye sammies afterwards with the left overs.

  • I did a SRF ham last year using their glaze recipe. Family said it was the best ham they had ever eaten. So I will be doing another SRF ham this year.
