Because screw you, heart!!! Best sandwich ever. Peach smoked pulled pork from the Mini BGE, mustard based BBQ sauce, slaw and fried beer battered homemade pickled okra all on a buttered and toasted cheese roll. What?!?!

Thx guys and gals!! @Dobie, I agree, trying new flavor profiles is always fun. @VB_egger, it was Blue Front BBQ Sauce this time. Usually my go-to's are Shealy's mustard based and Sticky Fingers Carolina Gold. @piney, the idea of fried pickled okra donned on me awhile ago... I figured why not since fried pickles and friend pickled japs are so good. Finally tried them out with some pickled okra my wife had preserved in the pantry. They really did put the sandwich over the top.

Oh yeah! That's got it all. I never met an okra I didn't like. What a flavor combination. Oh, and take more tumeric to offset this one.

@Jcl5150, I don't really have a recipe or any particular method. Just rub the butt down, and smoke indirect until I get the bark I'm looking for, then foil until 195-200 deg f IT. -
That looks great. Never thought to deep fry something that's already been pickled. Shows how much I need to learn!
