Warranty included in that $1k? You can usually get a demo without wings in the $700-800 range

Yes. Brand new. Never registered. Receipt included. My boss bought it for his MIL. She doesn't want it. My sister wants to give one to her husband for Xmas.

I just paid about that for a large BGE, nest, cover, plate setter, and 120# of BGE lump. It was a dealer assembled demo with one cook on it.

Personally I would skip the mates and get a small stainless table to put beside the egg. Something like this.

@SmokeyPitt I think I'd either do that or a table with no cutout for work room and leave the egg in the nest.

Agree @tarheelmatt. I wouldn't bother cutting the table and dropping the egg in it. I would get the nest and just set the table next to the egg in nest. Much more useable work space and only about $20 more than the mates.

Probably not a bad price. That's around the price I would have paid when I was shopping for a new LBGE. I ended up with a demo (had to travel an hour and a half though) at $700 with
LBGE
nest
plate setter
starter blocks
10lb bag of lump

So another option, save the $300 and use that to get a side table and some eggsessories.

I also understand not being able to resist and taking one home now
