Jefferson Eggfest Was Great
Spring Chicken
Posts: 10,255
This was the third Jefferson Eggfest and it turned out great. The weather was perfect, the things learned from the previous two Eggfests were successfully put into use, and the word-of-mouth advertising worked for the hundreds of cyclist's in town for the Burn Run, a fund-raising drive for burn victims.
In addition to the larger crowd, we had more registered cooks, most of whom were turning out some delicious food.
And we saw a lot of familiar faces among both groups.
Also, the Meet & Greet at the Carnegie Library was fun and the food outstanding.
Yes, I took a lot of photos and will likely put them together in some kind of video.
So if you are looking for some place to spend the second weekend of October 2017, come to Jefferson. You will be glad you did.

You definitely got the attention of some people who were not familiar with curry flavored food, me included. That was absolutely delicious. Lots of people were talking about it.
It will be even more fun next year, especially if we can have the same weather.

I didn't do anything. He had it all done by the time I got there. I did eat a bowl of the curry chicken. @caliking knows that stuff is my favorite.2-XLs ,MM,blackstone,Ooni koda 16,R&V works 8.5 gallon fryer, express smoker and 40" smoking cajun

It's a lot of people's favorite today. But you earned every bite of it for doing your magic on the scratches on his truck. Way to go.texaswig said:I didn't do anything. He had it all done by the time I got there. I did eat a bowl of the curry chicken. @caliking knows that stuff is my favorite.

Thanks @Photo Egg. I love the pics that show off the vivid colors of food. I will admit that I sort of staged this shot as I added things to the bowl 1) so it would look pretty 2) so folks could see each ingredient of the marinade.Photo Egg said:I really like this photo....#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Thanks to you for coming and asking questions about the Egg, the food and the fun we have serving it. As for the recipe for my Magnum Loads, I'll do you one better. Here's the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZNjrp86KAsG_S said:I had GREAT TIME!!!
