Haha - maybe. To me it has a mumble quality to it, everything runs together, muted enunciation.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Well, it wasn't me, lol. I have only one egg and I am female. I have a lot of people here tell me that I don't have much of a southern accent. Really??? I listened to my interview for my books on Blog Talk Radio - wow. I got emails from buds saying things like "no southern accent there MUCH" If you want to hear what you really sound like, record your own voice or listen when someone else has.

There's one accent from South Boston, Virgina that's interesting and is a mush mouth style.Legume said:I'm familiar with mush mouth, but not as it relates to FL. I work with folks from eastern Carolinas and there is one accent I hear coming out of some of them that makes them sound drunk to my ear. I'm told that's a low country accent by folks that should know, but I've heard it described it as mush mouth.
Ward Burton, a ex-NASCAR driver had this.

I watched this a while ago and I thought it was interesting about accents and differences.

Not sure if it's Florida, but this is mushmouthFoghorn said:Eggcelsior said:@Foghorn no Florida mush mouth? Such beautiful sounds coming from America's Wang.
@Eggcelsior, my mom was a Florida Cracker and sounded southern. My dad was from West Virginia and western NC but didn't really have much of an accent. When people try to place my accent about 1/2 guess Indiana and most of the rest just say "I can't place it".
I've never heard the term Florida mush mouth. What does that refer to?

That's a pretty cool video.... I don't have an accent, but a few users here could learn a thing or two from this video. Those who pull out the 'typing accent' of southerners when they are having 'playful' banter with others. When they are actually implying they are ignorant as the video says.tarheelmatt said:I watched this a while ago and I thought it was interesting about accents and differences.

I'm from South-East Virginia and like to think I have an accent but I bowl with a couple of guys from NC that I have to ask 2 or 3 times what they said to try to figure out what they are saying. It's like watching an episode of "King of the Hill' but for North Carolina people.Large and MiniMax Egg, 28" Blackstone Griddle
