Baked is on the Egg at 400. SWMBO is about to go take a bath. Should I go get a new Strip?

If it's been grocery store wrapped inside the bag, I would cook it and eat it without hesitation.

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.
Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.

I wouldn't think twice about cooking it myself. If it was in a hot car or out in the sun, not sure. But room temp I'd eat it.

It wouldn't bother me but I would cook it about Medium---if rare or med rare, there could be more risk, but the high heat should kill the microbesLagrange, GA LBGE

Cooking for myself? Not you?
i'd slap my forehead. Look at it sideways. Slap the counter and say "sh!t"
think a bit
and probably rinse it well. Pat dry. Salt well. All sides.
Cracked pepper for flavor's sake
and then cook it
that's me though.
You wanna sit on a toilet all day tonorrow counting floor tiles. That's your call.
Might not happen. But if it did. I wouldna wanna be the guy who told you it was 'safe'.
But my cast iron belly would would feel comfortable doing it.
Mom used to take out a frozen roast at 6am and go to work. When i got home at 3 after school there'd be a note telling me to put it in the oven at 325 with some salt and pepper.

I would cook and eat ASAP. By definition of food safety, no more than 4 hours outside the safety zone. It's five o'clock some place.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Maybe this is just me, but I would trim off the fat, chop/dice it up and mix in some salt, pepper, Worcestershire or fish sauce, make a patty, pour a raw egg yolk over it, toss some capers and chopped onions and eat it raw with rye bread.
Might be counting floor tiles in the bathroom the next day but it would be worth it.
And you can possibly lose more weight than you'd expect eating a steak.

The disposal ate well a few minutes ago.
Good news is I made it back and forth from Publix in under 10 minutes for re-inforcements. SWMBO never knew I was gone.
Egg on.
