    The build is actually complete and the little unit runs like a dream. It will soon replace one of my larger smokers as a everyday smoker. All I lack is blasting and painting which I hope to complete when these love bugs go away.  

    Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

    @SGH quick question regarding vault and other smokers. Can they be shut down like an egg and have unused or partially used lump ready to go for next cook? 

    Rust, I live in the PNW and have a cover on order. As long as I am careful will my backwoods be ok and safe from the elements or do I risk rusting keeping the unit covered outdoors.

    They absolutely can brother. As long as the gasket is sound and the door is not warped you can choke them right down.
