My Daughter's Wings
Battleborn
Posts: 3,699
Our two oldest children came back last night from spending the summer with their Bio dad. We decided to have a family pool party. My teenage daughter wanted wings (she can get embarrassing with those things) and the boy wanted hot dogs (he has great culinary tastes). I split three packages of chicken wings into their individual pieces and dusted with homemade rub and corn starch. Here is the first pan.
On to the grill they go. Raised direct at 325 with a chunk of cherry. One hour, then flip for and additional 15 minutes. Took them off and tossed with a mixture of butter, garlic and Sweet Baby Rays Wing Sauce (works out great because it has 0 carbs and sugars).
When it was time for me to get in the pool and join the party, everyone got out. I guess they were hungry or something. So for now, waiting on the second batch of wings to get done, it's just me, ol' Green and a glass of Willets.
Enjoy your Saturday and Egg on.

Looks like you've got the best spot! Enjoy having the kids back and the momentary solitude - and then dive in to the family. Kids gone too soon.Doug

@da87 they sure do. I'm am amazed whenever I think that my teenager will be "on her own" in 4 short years after high school. All we can do is hope we raise them to be good people that will contribute to society.Las Vegas, NV
