    i make it sometimes just for sandwiches, i make a deli style thats sliced super thin, and another thats made 3/4 to 1  inch flat in a brownie style pan, slice it like a brownie the size of the bread.

    Looks good, I love meat loaf.  I don't use a pan because I don't like the grease build up.  I've been meaning to get one of those wire loaf baskets.  But you're right, it's real easy for ground meat to take on too much smoke.  I just make sure I have a clean burning fire.

    Next time, make an extra loaf and then make a meatloaf casserole on the Egg.  Slices of meatloaf in a stoneware or casserole dish, top that with a tomato gravy, cheese, mashed potatoes, BBQ rub and cook an hour at 350f.  Then drizzle your favorite BBQ sauce on it once it's done.   Kind of like a shepherds pie only better IMO.  

    Damn....now I'm wishing that I had leftover meatloaf.
