Mini max 12 hour cook

I cooked a 7 LB butt on the mini max started it at 11 PM Saturday and pulled it at 11 AM Sunday turned out great with lots of smoke flavor

No drip pan? No off-flavors from the fat hitting the platesetter? I have never cooked a butt without one, so I do not know.--------------------------------------------------

I've never done a long cook on my Mini Max, either. The long cooks go on my XL.
This weekend, I'll be doing a 7 pound pork butt for Jamaican jerk pork on my Mini Max, but the recipe calls for direct with medium heat. It says that the 6 to 7 pound butt should finish off at 190 to 195 IT in about an hour. -
Do you have a bad gasket? Or was the picture taken just as you shut the lid?
We do them when out camping in the MM as well, always impressed.
